Rohde & Schwarz unveils a new portable microwave spectrum analyzer

News of valve inspection device

In October 2018, Rohde & Schwarz launched three new standard models in Munich, with frequency ranges ranging from 5 kHz to 6 GHz, 13.6 GHz and 26.5 GHz, extending the already successful R&S Spectrum Rider FPH family.

R&S Spectrum Rider FPH is the first portable spectrum analyzer in the industry to offer capacitive touch screen and frequency upgrade via access keys. Since the upgrade process requires no downtime and recalibration, users can easily upgrade their standard models, such as from 26.5 GHz to 31 GHz.

The release of new high-frequency models that make the rugged R&S Spectrum Rider FPH can complete more field and laboratory measurement tasks. Combined with more practical options, R&S Spectrum Rider FPH provides a convenient measurement tool for multiple application scenarios, such as verifying the signal transmission of 5G, broadcast TV, radar and satellite communication links. The spectrum analyzer is attractive to field technicians and laboratory engineers because it can support daily measurement missions in areas such as aerospace and defense, mobile network testing, radio and television, unaffiliated, and education.

R&S Spectrum Rider FPH weighs just 2.5kg and is very easy to carry. The battery lasts more than six hours and can work for a day without charging. The spectrum analyzer can be controlled remotely via USB or LAN. More conveniently, R&S Spectrum Rider FPH can also be controlled remotely via the R&S MobileView app (which is available on IOS and Android) installed on mobile devices.
