The Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

The Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. For centuries, the festival has been synonymous with family reunions, big feasts and enjoyment of a beautiful full moon.

What accompanies the festival is an interesting and exciting "Mooncake Gambling" game, commonly called “Bo Bing”. It was originally devised to relieve the homesickness of soldiers in the Ming Dynasty and later gained popularity among the commons and officials.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival is the second important holiday in Xiamen after the Spring Festival, many companies organize “Bo Bing” activity in the hope of creating sustainable chemistry and fostering solid trust among team members. Besides, it is also a good way to reward hard-working and high-performing employees.

So “Bo Bing” game is full of fun, excitement and surprise. Every one of us in Dervos feels excited about this game and loves it very much. We believe good luck awaits us in the second half of 2014.
