Weeklong Break from Work-A Trip to Lijiang

Employees in Dervos are entitled to annual holiday and holiday allowance, that is, taking seven days off in November or December every year since all work and no play will leave the staff more likely to burn out and be less effective at work.
It is definitely a great chance to relax and finally unwind from everyday stress.
To completely switch off from the pressures of work will in turn make holidaymakers returning to work healthier, happier and therefore likely to be more productive.
So some days off is good for our general well-being.

Our destination is the world famous Old Town of Lijiang located in Lijiang City, Kunming, Yunnan province. It is a UNESCO Heritage Site.

The old town used to be a confluence for all kinds of trades along the ancient tea route. Nowadays, it is a prosperous town and has a maze of winding cobblestone streets. It is extremely easy to get lost if you make the first visit there. It is quite popular with tourists at home and abroad, including artists, students and adventurers. Most notably, the town features “Bar Street” lined with clubs with live music, dancing, and revelry, where visitors can eat, drink and be merry, many a tourist-oriented shop showcasing local artifacts, embroidered items, silver articles and local specialties.

We stay in a boutique hotel unique to Lijiang run by individuals, who have old traditional houses converted to rooms.

It is a truly relaxing experience in Lijiang: the absolute serenity of the crystal clear water, rosy sunset, the peacefulness of the trickling streams and quiet yet sinuous mountain paths, vast expanse of dry meadow, distinctive local customs and practices, horse riding, boating and ascending to the snow-covered mountain summit at 4,680 m by cable car.

Lijiang is indeed the very place that offers a respite from busy city life and affords you the chance to attain a tranquil mind.
