Sealant injection fittings of ball valve are installed at the stem and seat area. They can act as temporary sealing.
When the soft sealing is damaged and a leakage happens because of fire accidents, the grease or sealant can be injected through sealant or lubricant injection fitting. The injected sealant works as a temporary sealing to prevent further leakage.
But it should bear in mind that sealant injection system is only for emergency use. The action of injecting grease through sealant injection fittings increases risks of further damage to the ball valve seat by attracting more grease and debris.
